| Seeing as no one else has posted about a home made linear press i may as well put mine up. I just bought one of these Trailer jack welded a few pices of RHS to it and drilled four holes for the fingers to mount to. In hindsight i should've got the top wind model, but it still works. I ought the fingers from here Fingers i made it so i can mount it to a bench, or a stand, when i make one. It's also got a seperate frame it attaches to via pin welded o top, so it can swivel and makes it easier to install peeps etc, not thet i need to do that anymore, now i use an Anchor Sight, but still a good feature. I got 2 extra fingers, that are 'shaved' to allow for draw stops on bows to be pressed.

| Cool, an arrow saw is my next project. Be interested in your plans
I found out the Apple Arrow Saws use a Singer Sewing machine motor. I've found a few different brand motors on ebay for about $25 that need the shaft drilled and tapped, which is not hard, then a piece of aluminum angle and a tape measure, good to go.
If i make one i'll put it up here too
Cheers

| Yup thats right and the plans I have use a sewing machine motor a bed rail and a metal yard stick. It also has a arrow leveler built in to get the cut area all even and flat. sorry I can't recall the actual name of the tool.
