PostSubject: NAP Apache arrow rest??   Mon Nov 07, 2011 10:29 pm

So, it appears the FOBs should work with my Bear Charge bow. Thinking of switching out my whisker biscuit for an NAP Apache. It is a drop away with full containment. I am pretty confident it will work, but curious if anyone has set one up before or had experience with them good or bad?? scratch

I am glad to hear that they will work for you, you wont be disappointed.

I use the NAP Apache myself. It is super easy to set up and you will be shooting bullet holes in just a few min. I love mine never had a problem or failure. I just emailed them (NAP) because my felt needs to be replaced (over use)lol and the metal arms on the adjustment knobs ( I lost mine) and they are sending them to me free of charge. Nice Customer Service there is none better.

If you have any questions on the rest during set up let me know I will give you as much help as possible.

Will

Thanks Will! It's nice to know someone is having good success with the Apache. I feel better about going ahead with the purchase. By the way, do you ever sleep? Lol! I was surprised to get such a quick response when I posted late in the evening. Thanks again! Smile

To answer in one word NO! LOL I have had cancer and now an extremely bad back and severe sciatica. I sleep very little and have become a huge (in more ways than one) night owl lol.

You may want to look on Archery Talk and see if there are any for sale there (used) I bought mine used and it was in great shape and has never done me wrong. I paid only a fraction of one new and mine was in like new condition. Check into it you may get a micro tune Apache for about the same as the non-micro new or just under that amount.

I will be here most of the time. My e-mail is at the bottom just click the e-mail button and put in the subject line you are from here so I don't junk it. I will give you all the help I can. There is a set up video on the New Archery Products website and if you go there select the arrow rests and the Apache go to the bottom of the screen and the video tips are there on the left. Apache Video shows the ease of install. How are you at serving you will have to serve in the cord.

Here is an interesting post from another forum I belong to. Techniques for tying in your Drop Away Arrow Rest. I hope I am not giving you too much too fast. I hope all this is helpful in some way shape or form.

Have a blessed day

Will

Thanks again Will! I have ordered my new Apache rest and a dozen FOBs. Will post the results once I have a chance to try it all out. Will probably be about a week.

Looking forward to hearing from you about your experience on the install and tuning process and give us a review on how you like it as well as the perceived differences in shooting between rests and what you like best.

Thanks rfnorman.

FOBs arrived today. Tried two of them out on my Bear Charge Bow with the NAP Apache arrow rest. Had 30 mile an hour winds left to right. Compared with NAP Quickfletch Quickspin fletched arrows. They flew about the same except for the wind drift. The Quickspins did have a little more wind drift. Can't wait for a wind-free day to properly tune in the FOB's. At half the price of the Quickspins and with better performance, you can't beat it. My neighbor came over to check it out and wanted to check out the web-site. So far so good. I had been a little worried about clearance on of the cables on my Bear Charge, but found there was plenty of room. No worries.

FOB's were engineered to cut through the wind and to not get pushed around. There is a video on Starrflight showing these principals at work.

Gotta love FOB's.

Keep working with them they grow on ya.
