PostSubject: Black Bear Stew   Sun Jan 09, 2011 12:25 pm

What You Need:

4lbs bear meat
1 can carrots
1 can green beans
1 can sweet peas
1 large sweet onion
2-3 large potatos
2 cloves garlic
2 cans beef broth

Cube up your bear meat in about 1" cubes. Open and drain all the cans of carrots, green beans, sweet peas. Then skin the potatos and dice up into about 1/2" cubes. Then cut up your onion into small to medium diced section. Crush the garlic also. Pour all this into a crockpot. Mix up and then pour the beef broth over everything. You can add the seasoning you like into the stew at this point.

Let this cook on low for about 8 hours.

After you come back use a ladel and drain some of the broth out of the stew and put into a pot on the stove. Bring this to a slight boil and add corn starch to this slowls as you are mixing it.(If you pour to much corn starch in at one time, or it isint boiling it will just clump together)

After it is all mixed together let this simmer for a few minutes until you see it to start to thicken up. Once it is thick enough pour it back into the stew and mix up once again.

At this point you can chow down at anytime.

ENJOY!
