Nice rod it will serve you well Congrats. LMAO...well, it took 13 months for me to get my permit...they really don't want you to have one...kind of ridiculous up here...especially when you can go to a store down south and walk out with basically whatever you want

I went to the co. court and filled out the application gave them a copy of my DD-214 and they gave me a copy of the application to carry as a temp CHP. The permit came in 45days. I can go anywhere here also even into DMV state Capital Building where ever. Here you can open carry with out a permit, anywhere as above mentioned. But the State Capital only open carry if you have a CHP. Now about just walkin out with anything you want, if the place is on the up and up if you are from out of state you can not buy a handgun, long guns you can buy but not handguns. Being a CHP holder I do not have a 1 handgun per month limit. I have heard horror stories from guys in NY,CA,MA just night mares dealing with CC permits. it is funny in CA you can open carry but the gun has to be unloaded. Might as well just carry a brick.haha I hope you get lots of use out of it it is a great looking pistol Will

| yeah its funny the way that it works in different states, a cop buddy of mine lives in a state that reqiures you to carry concealed 100% of the time, UNLESS you are riding a motorcycle, THEN the pistol needs to be carried open- the moment that you get off the bike, you need to conceal... I have no idea why, and neither does he lmao.
I was active duty when i applied for my permit, I carried an M-4 and M-9 everyday, they gave me AT-4's and grenades, trained me to shoot a 249, BMG, and .50 cal...but they weren't sure if they could trust me with a pistol LMFAO!
The background check is the thing that really gets me, they say that it takes them 7-10 months to complete the background check...HOWEVER, if I go out and beat the bejesus out of some dude downtown, they can find out everything they need to know about me in 45 minutes lol
