FOB's and NAP Apache Empty
PostSubject: FOB's and NAP Apache   FOB's and NAP Apache EmptySat Oct 25, 2014 11:09 pm

Has anyone used the FOB's with a NAP Apache rest?
I was the fortunate winner in a give-a-way of some of their archery products last year and the above mentioned rest was part of the pack. I've got it on my Mathews Legacy bow, pulling 70#. Using Carbon Express Terminator Hunter Select 6075 shafts. I was using a Nugent two blade, but could not achieve proper arrow flight, even after trying many different combinations of vanes and feathers. Another part of my prize pack was some 100 gr. Killzone mech. broadheads.
Well, I still produce the same flight characteristics that I have with the 2 blade, and arrows also fly the same with field points. My arrows suffer from "tail wagging".
Some have suggested paper tuning...done that a hundred times, no problem there.
Recently have been reading about FOC, and have been struggling with the proper method of calculating that. I called Mathews and they said consult arrow mfg. Did that, and their website says one thing and a rep. told me something different, and also said to go to archerycalculator.com , which I did, and used their method, which with my current set up, I am just over 9% FOC. Have yet to put them to flight, as it has been very windy.
So, depending on arrow flight, I still my try the FOB's, that is if they will pass through my rest with out incident. And if anyone is using that particular rest, I'd appreciate any input you have on it.
Thanks, dano
